ITINERARY PROPOSAL:

DAY 1 HOME – GUANGZHOU    Flight No. TBA

Transportation: Air conditioned coach / Flight | Hotel: 3 Star

Arrive in Guangzhou, know as Canton in the West, the biggest city in South China. Our local guide will meet you at Guangzhou airport and transfer to hotel for check in. Free at leisure to recover from jet-lag.

DAY 2 GUANGZHOU

Breakfast: Hotel | Lunch | Dinner | Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 3 Star

After hotel breakfast, start full day visit to Five Rams Stone Statue in Yue Xiu Park, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall -which is dedicated to the founder of the Republic of China and local hero Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Six Banyan Tree Temple (Liurong Temple). After lunch, continue visit to Xiguan Big House and Shamian Island. Later free shopping at Beijing Road Pedestrian Street. After dinner, transfer back to your hotel.

DAY 3 GUANGZHOU – SHANGHAI   Train No. D937(19:30-07:32+1)

After hotel breakfast, visit Flower City Square (Huacheng Square), Haixingsha Park – the Asian Games Landmark, Canton Tower (picture stop, exclude entrance), Ersha Island. After lunch, pay a visit to Souvenir Shop, Chen Clan Academy. Later, transfer to railway station for your overnight express train journey to Shanghai. Dinner at own arrangement on the train.

DAY 4 SHANGHAI

Breakfast: KFC/McDonald’s | Lunch | Dinner | Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 3 Star

Arrive Shanghai in the early morning. Hotel check in is after 12:00 noon so meet and have a quick breakfast at McDonald’s or KFC. Then proceed to visit Yuyuan Garden, a maze of marvelous pavilions, ponds, little rock mountain and arching tress; Chenghuangmiao Market is one of the most popular local markets. Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to wonder around Nanjing Road, Shanghai’s main shopping street, known as “the No.1 commercial street of China”, stretching from the Bund east towards Hongqiao, with People’s Square in the middle. Later, a visit to the Bund will be arranged. The bund now is a well-known waterfront park which shows Shanghai in early 1930s. Your tour today include a visit to a Silk Workshop.

DAY 5 SHANGHAI – BEIJING     Train No. TBA

After hotel breakfast, proceed to visit Jade Buddha Temple. Built in 1882, the temple has two Jade statues of the Sakyamuni Buddha and houses various ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures. Continue visit to Shanghai Museum, which is the biggest museum in China with a collection of 120,000 precious works of art. After lunch, proceed to visit the famous ” Oriental Pearl Tower” by going up to the second ball of the tower and enjoy a birds-eye view of Shanghai and the Huang Pu River. The last stop will be Xin Tian Di, a stylish nightlife district with many boutiques, pubs, and restaurants. After dinner, transfer to railway station for your overnight express train journey to Beijing.

DAY 6 BEIJING

Breakfast:KFC/McDonald’s | Lunch | Dinner | Transportation: Air conditioned coach | Hotel: 3 Star

Arrive Beijing in the early morning. Hotel check in is after 12:00 noon so meet and have a quick breakfast at McDonald’s or KFC. Then proceed to see Tian’anmen Square, the largest square in the world. Visit the Forbidden City, an awesome 250-acre complex of palaces, pavilions and gardens, which was home to the Ming and Qing dynasties for over 500 years. After lunch, shopping at a pearl shop and visit the Temple of Heaven, a complex of buildings representing the pinnacle of Ming and Qing architecture built in 1420, including the Hall of Prayer for good harvest, Imperial Vault of Heaven, Circular Altar, and Abstinence Palace. The highlight of this temple is the blue tile-roofed Hall of Prayer. After dinner, transfer to check in your hotel.

DAY 7 BEIJING

After hotel breakfast, drive to visit the Great Wall of China (Badaling Section). Built over 2,000 years ago, it stretches 4,000 miles across mountains and valleys in the northern part of China. After a Jade Factory visit, we continue to see the Ding Tomb of Imperial Ming Tombs – the mausoleums of 13 emperors. See the Underground Palace and enjoy the rustic setting of the Tombs. One the way back to hotel, you have a chance to see outdoor scene of Bird’s Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and Water Cube. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 8 BEIJING – HOME    Flight No. TBA

Breakfast: Hotel | Lunch | Transportation: Air conditioned coach / Flight

After hotel breakfast, we start our tour to Summer Palace and its immense gardens, where the imperial court resided during summer. After lunch, take a stroll touring the Hutongs, local courtyard house along Shichahai Pub Street. Later, transfer to airport for your departure flight to fly back home.
